On this page I outline some of the work I have recently been involved with or developed as an MYP Physical and Health Education Practitioner.

IB MYP Physical and Health Education

This book is a conceptually driven MYP Physical and Health Education book aimed at Grade 9 to 10 (MYP 4 & 5) students. It is  a student and teacher companion aimed at aiding units based on a variety of fields. The book is written in a way for students and teachers to access learning experiences involving ATL skills and formative and summative assessment tasks which inquiry into the concepts and global context explorations of each chapter. Each chapter is linked to a unit of work.

Podcast

A podcast series on elements of MYP Physical and Health Education focusing on the Inquiry part of the unit planner.
​The first series explores the conceptual inquiry where as the second series explores inquiry even further.

Website

In 2015, the Physical and Health Education in the MYP Group was established as a space for sharing ideas, asking questions and collaborating with other practitioners. This is a website I continue to develop to aid practitioners of MYP PHE.

Workshops

A series of Bespoke workshops linked to MYP Physical and Health Education. The first series of these workshops has been run with Windhoek International School, Namibia.
A co-led workshop delving into aspects of curriculum, assessment, feedback, diversity, equity and inclusion as well as aspects of social and emotional wellbeing.
Workshop on inquiry in physical and health education in the MYP and how to incorporate these into your planning and teaching.

An MYP Physical & Health Education webinar on adapting units during distance learning I hosted along with other well established and experienced MYP practitioners
An MYP Physical and Health Education discussion on the May 2021 eportfolio I hosted with a focus on the first two tasks of the partially completed unit planner.

Networks

​The BAMEd Network represents educators of colour. The network it allows me to reach out and connect with teachers to establish training and learning opportunities.
A co-led series of workshops with a focus on physical and mental wellbeing for teachers and students in the school environment.
